Malware Removed But Still Having Problems

Recommended Posts

I just finished running Malwarebytes twice to remove various malware calling itself Paladin Antivirus. MB successfully quarantined and removed mutltiple issues and asked me to reboot my pc to delete several trojans. However, I'm not sure all the malware has been completely removed because 1) Windows Security Center is still turned off and can not be turned on and 2) Windows Defender is still turned off and can not be turned on by group policy. My AVG Antivirus seems to be working fine -- it identified several trojans and moved them to the virus vault. I'm now doing a full virus scan.

I want to buy and install the full version of Malwarebytes now to protect from further problems, but not sure I should until the Windows Security Center & Defender problems are resolved. Is there another procedure (Hijackthis ??) or other software i should run first? I also tried attaching the log files MB generated after the two scans, but i can't find them on my HD.

This is my first time dealing with computer viruses, so any advice would be welcome.

Apologies for the second post, but couldn't find an edit button.

I finally found the two log files from the MB scan and am attaching them here. I'm also in the process of running Malwarebytes a third time using the full scan option. So far it has detected an additional 24 objects infected, suggesting that it didn't completely remove all the malware the first two times.

Please advise what i should do next.
