DSL crash / Connection tray error

Hello, i need help due to an unusual incident. In the last 2 weeks my internet connection crashes usually, while a big load of data is transfered. However it isn't an ISP error, but a pc one.I mean that while i download a movie for example or something like that, then it usually crashes.Never crashes while i just use a browser to surf or playing online games. Then i cant use the reconnect icons (doesn't respond) at all and i can reconnect to my ISP till i do a pc restart where a Connexion Tray error (the one who let me to end the program instantly while not responding) comes up and my pc can't restart normally, but only after using the tower restart button.Just to mention that i use an usb modem and i have switched several modems just to check if it is a modem error, but crash occurs again and again.Any idea?

Hi Shivok -

Are you sure that your ISP will not have a "time-out" function - Many ISP's have a policy that once your downloads reach a certain "constant" they will time you out and restart your session - I have seen several companies that do this - I do not think you have a computer problem but I would contact your provider about this -

Thank You - :)

Damn how it can be? It was so healthy 2 weeks ago...I use the same ISP for about 2 & 1/2 years, is it possible that such thing happens now?Hmm i maybe now begin experimenting with some tools, registry cleaners etc. after i call my provider comp.Back in another forum someone had exactly the same problem, but he wrote that he updated the ethernet drivers and become ok.Here it's not about ethernet cause i don't use it.So weird :)

Hi, I wouldn't advise you to use registry cleaners, also programs which you probably use to download - like Limewire, are not advisable.

I'm also going with noknojon's thought, contact your ISP and they'll be able to help you out.

hope this helps :) .

You made up my mind fellas.I will contact my ISP soon hoping a solution will be found.Thx for the advice so far :)
