Amethyst Posted February 18, 2010 ID:201740 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Does anyone here use this or know anything about it, good or bad? It is, apparently, a customizable resource meter, and my son installed it on his laptop yesterday. It looks nice, just want to make sure it's OK and not going to do anything bad in the background. The site is rainmeter.net.

liljj2010 Posted February 18, 2010 ID:202106 Share Posted February 18, 2010 I use to use this for a little while and I loved it. It is also very light on system resources.
Amethyst Posted February 18, 2010 Author ID:202120 Share Posted February 18, 2010 Thank you, everyone, for the feedback. My son likes it, although he has yet to figure out how to change the city. Right now we know what the weather is in London.

Amethyst Posted February 20, 2010 Author ID:203108 Share Posted February 20, 2010 Don't ask about weather here today - 37c = Almost 100f - Not much snow here - 3 fans and a cooler running and it is 11.15PM -Cooler tomorrow, only 33c = About 90f - -7 C here today, snow gently falling. It's really quite nice. If our winters were always this mild, I wouldn't mind at all. We can achieve those +30 temps in summer, but that's not considered average in these parts. YoKenny1 Posted February 21, 2010 ID:203330 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Actually 6C is quite warm as it has been a bit cold but not like in Saskachewan so I have a nice Winter coat to keep me warm.
Amethyst Posted February 21, 2010 Author ID:203410 Share Posted February 21, 2010 Yup, that'll do. You'd need a tuque, though, in this part of the country. (For our international friends who may not know what a tuque is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuque)
