Hugger Posted February 16, 2010 ID:201046 Share Posted February 16, 2010 To remove MBAM so that I can use it in a new pc I'm supposed to uninstall, restart the pc then download and run MBAM-clean.exe.But MBAM-clean.exe will not run.I get a pop up stating -SHGet value failed with error code 126.I'm hopefully setting up a new pc this weekend and have no intention of re-installing MBAM on this pc.What do I need to do.Thanks.Hugger

exile360 Posted February 16, 2010 ID:201079 Share Posted February 16, 2010 Yes, but please refer to my post again by refreshing this web page. I made a typo in my previous response (no worries, the typo will do no harm but it won't delete the registration info either ).You'll need to recreate the file as it appears in the code box now so that it works properly. Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted February 17, 2010 Root Admin ID:201346 Share Posted February 17, 2010 As long as you ran it using Run As Administrator it should have done the job. Launch MBAM and it should no longer be registered and the protection module should no longer load when you restart the computer.
