Hi, I am blind, I use the computer with the aid of special talking software but since installing Malwarebytes I have been plagued by this blasted pop up "Malewarebytes Anti Malware ............... Malewarebytes Anti Malware has successfully blocked access to malicious IP ................." This is not a problem for "normal" people but as my computer has to speak and read everything on screen it also reads this message - usually when I am trying to listen to another document.

Has anyone any ideas how to stop this without closing Malewarebytes?

Sorry I am not sure if it is 32 bit or 64, how do I find out? I know I am running Windows XP

Thanks

Bob

Greetings and welcome to Malwarebytes ;)

Are you running a 32 bit or 64 bit version of Windows? The reason I ask is because I can provide a fix but I must know which version you have so that I can give you the correct one.

Thank you :D

Hello again ;)

Since you are running Windows XP it is most likely 32 bit since the only version of XP that is 64 bit was only offered by Microsoft through special licensing. Attached is a zip file that contains two files, one which will disable the pop-up messages and one that will set it back to default so that you can undo the change if you wish to.

To use the file simply extract the files and double click on silent_IP_32bit.reg and answer Yes and OK to any prompts and then reboot your computer. If you ever wish to undo this change so that the behavior goes back to what it was originally simply double click Undo_silent_IP_32bit.reg and click Yes and OK to any prompts and reboot your computer:silent_IP_32bit.zip

Please let me know how it goes. And if you have any further issues please feel free to post.

Thanks :D
