I purchased the full version, the "virus" logged me off (as it has done numerous times), I have my Invoice #, Ref #, etc. How / where do I go now to download my PURCHASED progarm???

Okay, finally got to my email and found the download. I selected the download program, it prompted run, I said yes, second prompt, I said yes, then a pop up comes up and says "Running of application is impossible". It is PC Protector svchost.exe

Any help would be most greatly appreciated!!!

but, please also advise, what email you refer to? Did you recently purchase MBAM?

In any event, you have a rogue (fake) program onboard.

Right away, see this sticky note in the Malware Removal sub-forum.

Do as much as you can of the perliminaries (like getting and running DDS and GMER scans)

then follow the intructions, and create a new topic in the Malware Removal sub-forum http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7

posting the details you mentioned above, plus logs from DDS & Gmer.

Please have plenty of patience until you get a reply there. The forum is very busy, as are the volunteer expert helpers.

Once you post, wait for an authorized helper to reply to you.

Maurice, thank you for the info. This is an old PC I am using temporarily. It has Microsoft V5.1 Windows X Home Edition and Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1 Professional

Yes the e-mail is the confirmation where I purchased this morning and the download was there.
