Registration and directrdr.com

I had the free version loaded. Without removing, I purchased and downloaded the latest version today. I received a reference number, an ID, and a Key.

For the life of me, I can't figure out how to put them in anywhere? My session timed oout (I think) because wife made me leave the house with her for about 4 hours.

After I figure this out, will the paid version get rid of the directrdr.com.

Also have a file windows\system32\drivers\faaqq.sys that doesn't belong on the system, but can't get rid of it either?

Hi Brewer2009 and welcome to malwarebytes'!

The free version is identical to the paid version. The real time protection however is disabled unless you have purchased like you have done. To successfully enable it click the protection tab like the first picture shows. There will be two buttons one should say register and the other purchase. Click the one that says register and copy and paste your ID and KEY in their respective locations. After you should see something like the second picture shows. However yours should have the start protection button available(not grayed out). Click it to start it. Next check the start with windows to make sure it is enabled or it will be disabled on start-up.

Next read the following as you are infected.
