error message after downloading malwarebytes

Hello,

I am apparently infected with malware which redirects Internet Explorer, and it was recommended that I download Malwarebytes. I already had Malwarebytes but it was not working as I had an error message that the file "mbam.exe" could not be found so I had removed it and tried to download it again..

The download went fine until afterward when I received the error message "createprocess failed; code 2. Please advise.
