Removed object reapparing in Quarantine..

Recommended Posts

I have been having serious malware problems since around November. At first, I used Malwarebytes anti Malware and it worked fine.

About 1 month ago, I got a new rougue antivirus, whose name ican't remember. But on Bleeping computer, it stated to do a fullscan in safe mode, which sure enough, worked.

About a week later, it came back. So i did the same thing, only this time, the program itself was gone, but the icon in the system tray kept showing up. So i ran a quick scan, and I always get the SAME 6 items.. I don't quiteremember the names, but the vendor was Hijack.Display.Prop or something liek that.

Anywho, I ran a full scan, got the same 6 items, clicked remove all, and restarted.

I then ran a quick scan to ensure everything was removed.. It was.

So I checked quarantined items...

147 items had been stored in the quarantine folder.

I clicked remove all.

They are gone...for now. HOWEVER. The system tray icon is STILL there, and STILL urging me to activate the software. Also, this rougue antivirus seems to shut down your desktop and give you a white screen that says something along the lines of "Active Desktop Recovery Blah blah blah." And there is no way to remove this.

Help me please...this is really getting on my nerves.
