Recommended Posts

Welcome edtracy

Can you please perform all the actions listed in Issue #7 from the link bellow -

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.p...ost&p=49525

This will give you a fresh new copy of the program - If you have a licenced version please note all the numbers and re enter them -

If you are using the free edition then ignore this -

Also are you using Dialup or Broad band connection -

Please list your Antivirus in your reply and if you are using any firewall apart from Windows -

Thank You - :D

PS - If you get any other error message please note the number and include it in your reply -

I believe he stated that his computer restarts before running Malwarebytes. In that case, try to restart your computer in Safe Mode.

My computer is performing a restart before I can run a Malwarebytes scan. I get a DCOM Server Process box then 1 minute later the computer restarts. Any suggestions???

I believe he stated that his computer restarts before running Malwarebytes. In that case, try to restart your computer in Safe Mode.

The copy of Malwarebytes can at times not fully install or may be corrupted - That is why the first step is to install a Fresh New copy of the program -

Issue #7 gives details on a complete full removal and then Full clean reinstall of the program - The DCOM is a server (download) related problem -

Once a new copy is installed we look to see if there may be infections or other problems involved - Basic first step for this problem -

Then we check if the Antivirus or Firewall is blocking it -

Thank You - :D

EDIT - Please always read carefully - This can mean several things from infection to a faulty copy of MBAM also -

1 minute later the computer restarts.
