so at the end of december the computer - dell dimension 8400 xp service pack 2 legit copy - stopped updating mbam

i am getting ie running and abc ads in the background, noise, everything was bogging, and it wouldnt allow me to run or update mbam. even on new account profiles, countless ones, it wont let me run mbam. installed and ran housecall, came up clean

mbam ran once after it stopped updating and told me i had a trojan, since i killed that profile but kept the files, maybe i can dig it up

i reran mbam after it said it killed the program, and it did not show up in the scan

i got the blue screen of death earlier today and IMMEDIATELY powered down, rebooted, deleted that use account, started 2 more.

i also have mshta.exe running in the background, and i never did before, on new accounts

mbam will dl, says it installs, and wont run.

tell me what to do
