malwarebytes update problems

malwarebytes team please help!!!, i purchased the full version of malwarebytes anti-malware, but i am having 2 problems which are...

1.Malwarebytes wont automatically update, so i have to do it manually.

2.When i do update manually, the IP Protection module comes off, then i have to keep clicking it to get to come on again

ive even tried configuring windowing task scheduler settings to get it to update automatically, but it doesnt work

i dont know what to do

i am currently running windows 7, is this why im having these problems?
