Hi guys,

So I can pinpoint exactly where I picked up the infection - a pop-up advert from deviantArt.com; for some reason my pop-up blocker didn't catch it. I noticed because I was getting sound-bytes out of the computer when I had Firefox and iTunes closed (I'm currently using Opera). MalwareBytes seemingly deleted it this morning before work, and I came back to what I thought was a clean computer. Next, I started getting soundbytes advertising Chinese, so I put MB back on (and had to use the work-around).

If nothing else, I'll give this thing props for being clever - it blocked a bunch of walkthroughs on 'how to install MB while infected' in Firefox - I got error messages saying the server was down - I checked with a friend who verified that they were up and active.

Anyway. I ran the scan, and deleted the two files that popped up. Restarted the computer and reinstalled ZoneAlarm. And thought I was free.

But then it started again. So I downloaded VundoFix, which found nothing, and I re-ran MB. And this is what I got:

Hi again,

I'm really sorry to bump this topic, but I did a couple of things that seem to have gotten rid of it according to MBAM - I hadn't installed quite a lot of Windows Updates, and did that today including SP3, and deleted the quarantined files found by previous scans. I just ran a full scan with MBAM just to double-check that the files weren't back, and it came up clear:

Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.44

I also just ran a HijackThis but it means not much to me; would you be able to check if it tells me my computer is clear or not?
