Three viruses just won't die

Recommended Posts

Ok, so my computer's been inhabited by some kind of network virus. That's what the little warning sign tells me anyway. This scares me because it SOUNDS like a kind of virus that came through my wireless network signal, which means somebody knows the password to get in, and if that's the case, somebody in my neighborhood has been doing this. Which is great if I can find out who! Because then I can just fix the problem by curb-stomping the coward.

But if "network virus" does NOT mean what I think it means, then I guess I'm mistaken.

Either way, I gotta get rid of this sucker. The first signs of virus I got involved a virus that masqueraded as an antivirus program. It's the same one that nabbed my laptop and then it got on my PC, advertising a different product but doing the same kind of thing. Now that's gone, but these three trojans are left. Now I downloaded malwarebytes, had to rename the .exe file and the shortcut so the virus didn't know to block it, and I used the program and eliminated over 190 infected files.

But 3 remain.

And no matter how many times I scan and detect those files, and no matter how many times I restart the computer to delete them like malwarebytes tells me, those viruses never get deleted. I just scan again and they're still there.

Can someone tell me how to make 'em go 'way? Thankyou kindly.
