Keep getting a block on IP 68.178.232.100

Did a search and found that this was reported but was unable to determine if this is a false positive report. I'm a newbie to malware bytes. I've installed a register copy two months ago and these past two days i've been getting this block. I recently uninstalled Zone Alarm from my PC. Since the uninstall this error keeps popping up on start up.

A quick reverse trace puts it back to GoDaddy - With 11,785,986 sites hosted from here -

Resolve Host: parkwebwin-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net

IP Address: 68.178.232.100

Reverse IP: 11,785,986 other sites hosted on this server.

A bloated server that may carry several nasty sites - It also has some OK sites, if you trust them -

Could not find any good report from WOT (WebOfTrust) ratings -

Is there anything I can do to prevent this block message from popping up on start up all the time?

The IP resolves back to parkwebwin-v01.prod.mesa1.secureserver.net, which is GoDaddy's parking server. However, sites parked here frequently serve malware via popup, and link to a plethora of malicious websites.

If a domain resolves to this IP - STAY AWAY FROM IT!. No "real" site (i.e. one with actual content), will ever resolve to this IP.

If something other than yourself, is trying to connect to a site hosted here, I'd advise getting your computer checked for signs of infection.

Thanks for your response. I'm not clear with the terminology in your response. I'm not sure what you mean by:

1) if a domain resolves to this IP - STAY AWAY FROM IT!. No "real" site (i.e. one with actual content), will ever resolve to this IP. How will I know if this happens?

-- I run my AVG virus scan and no sign of infection is reported. Am I to assume I'm okay. Also ran a second scan using PandaCloud no issue found.

I'd suggest getting rid of AVG and replacing it with one of the following;

1. Avira (free home version): www.free-av.com

2. Avast (free home version): www.avast.com

3. Kaspersky: www.kaspersky.com

4. NOD32: www.eset.com

AVG has been rubbish for detection for quite some time now, and Panda is no better.

In the meantime, you can have your system checked by following the instructions at;

How will I know if this happens?

Apologies for missing this part. The only way to know, is to check the domain names IP address before connecting to it, though unless you're used to investigating such, it's likely just going to confuse you even more.
