Maged Posted January 13, 2010 ID:183820 Share Posted January 13, 2010 Hi, I recently did a scan and Malwarebytes identified .kkrieger as being malware. For those of you unaware, .kkrieger "...is a first-person shooter computer game created by German demogroup .theprodukkt (a former subdivision of Farbrausch) which won first place in the 96k game competition at Breakpoint in April 2004." (see Wikipedia) Who knows, you might want to play it after fixing this.Official website:http://www.theprodukkt.com/Download link (contains the FP):http://kk.kema.at/files/kkrieger-beta.zipMalwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.44Database version: 3556Windows 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.111/13/2010 4:01:33 PMmbam-log-2010-01-13 (16-00-50).txtScan type: Full Scan (K:\|)Objects scanned: 123523Time elapsed: 3 minute(s), 10 second(s)Memory Processes Infected: 0Memory Modules Infected: 0Registry Keys Infected: 0Registry Values Infected: 0Registry Data Items Infected: 0Folders Infected: 0Files Infected: 1Memory Processes Infected:(No malicious items detected)Memory Modules Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Values Infected:(No malicious items detected)Registry Data Items Infected:(No malicious items detected)Folders Infected:(No malicious items detected)Files Infected:K:\kkrieger-beta\pno0001.exe (Malware.Packer.Krunchy) -> No action taken. nosirrah Posted January 13, 2010 ID:183841 Share Posted January 13, 2010 We are not detecting this game , we are detecting the malware packer used by the author to protect it . Delisting this will delist many thousands of trojans at the same time .http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/ac2192b...2685-1263422940These results are caused by the same thing and even if we were to delist this , those other detections from other vendors would remain .Please use the ignore function to avoid further detection .
