Great with need a minor improvement.

This software is great. but there seem to be virus/malware that blocks anti-malware program from running. It woul be great if malware could address the issues. (i had to manually change the name of the exe file to run the this program).

Thanks malwarebytes.. you guys are awesome.

There is no such program that protects you 100% of the time. All anti-virus/malware programs may not protect you all of the time. Its best to use a layered security strategy. Its always a good idea to run additional programs to back up your existing security. Here are some good examples.

Microsoft Security Essentials- Anti-Virus

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware- Anti-Malware

Immunet Protect- Cloud Based(Based on user ratings)Anti-Malware

Comodo Firewall-Replacement for Windows Firewall with more options and control

WinPatrol- System monitoring

All these can run in real-time together and is recommended.

For Microsoft Security Essentials you need to tell it to ignore malwarebytes as it may conflict on Windows Xp Systems.

The problem is that is you use any scanner after the fact you are a step behind and there is no way to bypass this . Our software needs to enter memory before it can do anything and if there is already malware in place it can simply deny us access . We are looking into some creative ways to get around the most common attacks but the only real solution is to have MBAM be the one in place first . With active protection on all the would-be threats that block us will be the ones being blocked ;)

He could have paid Malwarebytes and still gotten in trouble but finding those $ in pocket is a good thing. Check out removal forums. Many suggest or even require you to run Malwarebytes but often that is just beginning of the journey. If Malwarebytes were so good it did not matter what hit you there would be no free version or angles really do exist.

Following stop as early as possible idea then try DynDns Internet Guide http://www.dyndns.com/services/dynguide/ or other "internet" blockers. WOT or a hostsmanager with updated input from hphosts. Anything effective and not just for show. I have only used DynDns for a couple of days but it does stop fresh malware domains offering crap making it hard for Malwarebytes to fix created problems. Highly interesting and why most others including OpenDNS charge extra for it. Free and why not? There is overlap with Malwarebytes, with filters in browsers but not a problem. They are all behind as any blacklist will be so help each other increasing hit rate.

Btw Buttons. I don't think Immunet is based on user ratings. I have not seen a clear explanation of how it works. For now I think it somehow take advantage of the accumulated protection from Mcafe, AVG, Norton or something. Hooks into their protecton/signatures somehow. Best cloudy thingy yet regardless of questons. Perfect for those with a dislike of dumb resident scanner like MSE ;) Immunet must be worst file scanner ever, sloooow but 1. beta (huge lack of info regarding removals/deletions) and 2. who cares, it only kicks in during incomings/installations. Nice extra protection on level with DynDns. A why not program, but a bit weird ;)

Huh I guess I didn't' know that. In any case Immunet is quite a different program. :D

Yeah, you should check their blog and wiki. Details must be revealed at some point. Guess they already are but I don't understand too much.

He explains method here http://support.immunet.com/index.php/What_is_Immunet%3F and here is another person wondering http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showpost.ph...mp;postcount=44 There are quite a few posts on that forum. Have not checked all. Most of what he says sounds so right ;)

Just learned there will be a premium version with added features, free version will remain free.

Seems to have same position in the bundle of layers as Malwarebytes but probably a good thing to check official supported AVs http://support.immunet.com/index.php/Immun...ents_%28Beta%29

Hi -

Please note that Immunet is still listed as BETA =(trial version) at this time (according to their page) -

Also DYNdns has a free and a paid version -

Thank You - :)

EDIT - @ Buttons - I do use MSE and I find it works well with MBAM -

Extra - I advertise for no one !! I just noted items on pages that were linked by you -

Any security software is permanently beta :) but it is rough that is true.

I use free DynDNS Internet Guide. They have many paid services but this is free - in case you were hinting to be careful. Or are you advertising for them? heh. Now OpenDNS no longer talk and talk and talk about the problems of blocking malware, because they finally made it a paid service!, it is nice to have a free option. In fact with an account you can disable landing page for unknown addresses. 100% invisible, no ads or search redirections.

Tried the RKill app against an exe killing rogue and it did the job fine.

What is Rkill?

Rkill is created by Microsoft MVP Lawrence Abrams (also known as Grinler in several security forums) of BleepingComputer.com. Rkill is malicious software process killer and anti-malware assistant because it will terminate the active processes of malware that is blocking your anti-malware, anti-virus, Task Manager, Process Explorer, Registry Editor, browsers and any other programs in loading. When it finished unloading or terminating malicious processes associated to rogue or malicious program, you can proceed to scan and clean the system using anti-malware or anti-virus program.
