Fatal System Crash after infected file removal

Recommended Posts

Last night 01/10/10 I updated Malwarebytes, ran a full scan. The scan found four infected files. 3 of which were identified as the Dlink setup installer files. A 4th file was identified, i believe it was jgaw400.dll or jgdw400.dll.

I quarantined the files. The program stated that a system reboot was required to complete the process. I rebooted the system and the system BSOD'd.

I received an error message, specifically: system stop error 0x0000009A: SYSTEM_LICENSE_VIOLATION.

System is now dead, I cannot get past this.

I'm afraid if I restore to last known good configuration (which I haven't created in over a year), that it will hose the registry.

HELP !!!!!

The last known good has nothing to do with when you last created a System Restore. Windows controls that and basically makes a backup of certain registry entries from the last time it was started successfully. System Restore also creates it's own restore images on it's own even if you don't create any.

Please try the Last Known Good and see if that helps. If you're still having issues then please contact the support help desk as shown.

Thank you.
