Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware when updated. Need to restart or not. Updates to take effect

If it asks to restart after a program update, then restart so that files that were in use can get replaced.

If you are asking if you need to restart only when you do a database update, no you don't have to restart for the new database file to be in use.

Hi -

As per Firefox - You need an internet connection to be open - On the front page of Malwarebytes on the top is a tab that says Update -

Click on that and as long as you have internet connected it will update to the latest version - It should be updated prior to any scan -
