Desktop Defender just wiped out my icons and start menu...

...I tried to do the system recovery, won't work. Tried booting in safe mode. Won't work. The most I can get to work is the safe mode with command prompt. IS there any way of getting malwarebytes (which is fully installed on the pc) to run through that to eliminate this garbage and restore my pc? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I can't download other stuff to the pc, but I can burn cd roms for it to boot off of if that is an option...
