Running MBAM triggers an installation repair of some program

Recommended Posts

Running MBAM (quick scan or full scan) detected infection by Backdoor.Bifrose trojan (for what its worth, there were two infected folders - C:\Program Files\system32 and C:\Program Files\system32\drivers). I pressed Remove and everything seemed to work fine.

When I then tried to run MBAM again to verify that everything is OK. This caused one of my installed programs (INtime 3.1) to reinstall on its own (I presume that this is an automatic installation repair action due to MBAM removing or modifying some file(s) that this software uses).

This pattern repeats itself. After the above reinstallation, if I run MBAM it again detects the above trojan. If I remove it, the next time I run MBAM it triggets the automatic reinstallation of INtime. If I cancel the reinstallation then MBAM runs successfully and reports no problems.

Is there a way to resolve this?

Thanks.
