program wont update and other network issues

I had multiple spyware and viruses. I used Malwarebytes 1.43 first and it found some. But it would not update. I have tried various different antispyware programs and none of them would update. Now I have several hardware network devices that won't delete and my network card will not install.

Thanks. I gave up and reinstalled the OS. One question though, my problem was with the network. Either the Anti spyware wouln't update, install, or network properly. Some spyware had taken control of the network partr of the OS. Is there some document somewhere that explains how spyware integrates itself into the OS so that I could learn about this?
