Infection crashes Malwarebytes and cannot remove threat

Recommended Posts

Hi

booted my machine about a week ago and it ran very slow so assumed infection. Reinstalled latest version of Malwarebytes (MB) and ran it which produced a list of 21 infected files (see attached list). Tried fixing the problems several times but each time MB gets stuck on the Registry Entries and Crashes. I quarantined all the entries except the registry entries successfully. I did run CCleaner but this does not seem to identify the Registry entries that are discovered by MB so i cannot delete them with CCleaner

In addition i ran Dr Cure It and this was not able to complete the scan, the machine just rebooted part way through the scan and i tried this three times. In addition i ran JavaRa which worked fine and also FixPolices which was also fine.

I have also run Hijack This and attached is the log.

Now at a loss as to what to do so any help would be greatly appreciated, otherwise it might ba total rebuild, which i would very much like to avoid.

Greg

Download Combofix from this webpage: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix

**Note: It is important that it is saved directly to your desktop**

--------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Close any open browsers.

2. Close/disable all anti virus and anti malware programs so they do not interfere with the running of ComboFix.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Double click on combofix.exe & follow the prompts.

  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the "C:\ComboFix.txt" along with a new HijackThis log for further review.

Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it's running. That may cause it to stall
