Malware Bytes Runtime Error 0/440

I've used Malware Bytes successfully many times in the past on many different computers and I love the program. However, my dad's computer contracted a virus and I cannot seem to rid his system of it. I tried downloading and installing many different programs and none were able to fix the problem. I think MBAM would do the job, however it will not open. I get the "Runtime Error 0" immediately followed by "Runtime Error 440". I have done a signifigant amount of googleing to no avail. The computer is running Windows 7 64 Bit, the Hijack-This log is copied below. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

• Download OTL to your desktop.
  
• Double click on the icon to run it. Make sure all other windows are closed and to let it run uninterrupted.
  
• When the window appears, underneath Extra Registry change it to Use SafeList.
  
• Click the Run Scan button. Do not change any settings unless otherwise told to do so. The scan wont take long.
  
  • When the scan completes, it will open two notepad windows. OTListIt.Txt and Extras.Txt. These are saved in the same location as OTL.
    
  • Please copy (Edit->Select All, Edit->Copy) the contents of these files, one at a time, and post it with your next reply. You may need two posts to fit them all in.
