Hello Sonic_Speed

Welcome to Malwarebytes.

=====================

Please download DDS and save it to your desktop.

  • Disable any script blocking protection
  • Double click dds.scr to run the tool.
  • When done, DDS.txt will open.
  • Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
  • Save both reports to your desktop.

---------------------------------------------------

Please include the contents of the following in your next reply:

DDS.txt

Attach.txt.

================

Download This file. Note its name and save it to your root folder, such as C:\.

  • Disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs.
  • Temporarily disable any real-time active protection so your security program drivers will not conflict with this file.
  • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled.
  • Double-click on the downloaded file to start the program. (If running Vista, right click on it and select "Run as an Administrator")
  • Allow the driver to load if asked.
  • You may be prompted to scan immediately if it detects rootkit activity.
  • If you are prompted to scan your system click "Yes" to begin the scan.
  • If not prompted, click the "Rootkit/Malware" tab.
  • On the right-side, all items to be scanned should be checked by default except for "Show All". Leave that box unchecked.
  • Select all drives that are connected to your system to be scanned.
  • Click the Scan button to begin. (Please be patient as it can take some time to complete)
  • When the scan is finished, click Save to save the scan results to your Desktop.
  • Save the file as Results.log and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.
  • Exit the program and re-enable all active protection when done.

I am attempting to complete the scan but it freezes in the middle and the computer lags. Also, I noticed that the settings you listed to be changed like minimal output, etc. were already set when I downloaded and opened OTL.exe I'll continue trying to scan with OTL.exe I'll post again if I get it to work.

Ok you have some malware present in those logs.

Please do the following:

First temporarily disable any antivirus program or any real time shields that are present:

If you do not know how then you can refer to this link:

http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic114351.html

================

Then Download Combofix from any of the links below. You must rename it before saving it. Rename it to kahdah then save it to your desktop.

Link 1

Link 2

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Then go to Start > Then Run > then copy and paste this into the run box "%userprofile%\desktop\kahdah.exe" /killall (quotes included) then hit the ok button & follow the prompts.

  • When finished, it will produce a report for you.
  • Please post the C:\ComboFix.txt

Hi when you are prompted to run or save it it will then prompt you for a location to save it.

When it does that it will automatically want to save it as combofix.exe just change the name where you see that then save it to your desktop.

I click the link and it says to save it or cancel. I can't pick.

What should I do? I ran combofix.exe but the log doesn't load. When it rebooted, it lagged and combofix just stood there for 30 min. + Then it just froze up so I had to end it in task manager. I noticed: Internet Explorer 7 suddenly appeared on my desktop (uninstalled internet 8 due to infection) and I saw catchme.tmp running as a process.

Sorry for the continuous posts, but when I run mbam, it attempts to install bitdefender for some odd reason. I don't have an antivirus at the moment, but I have a trial evaluation of the full version of Bitdefender. Do you recommend any antivirus (free for now) besides Bitdefender? It's been acting odd ever since the install and it takes up a lot of CPU, thus I disabled it some time ago. I'm going to uninstall/reinstall mbam now.

For now you can uninstall Bitdefender and download a free one.

Make sure to disable it before running combofix.

These are free.

This is antivirus and antispyware.

Microsoft Security Essentials

This is free antispyware protection and Antivirus protection.

AVG free 9.0

This is just antivirus protection.
