Trojan.Agent in Windows\Temp file

Recommended Posts

Dear Forum,

Since Dec.21st, 2009 until now Mbam finds everyday when I'm using my system a Trojan.Agent in my Windows\Temp file.

This is what the log files say:

Files infected:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd12f816-7a80-461d-91fd-10c4144dd39e.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd1795f8-66c6-487c-b491-1dfb103931df.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd1b71df-b96a-44e2-b69f-28705dfaebf0.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd1b5d83-facd-4f74-8651-9bb13f106099.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd1a52fc-fc34-405c-8abf-d79a204cfcfe.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd1b5d83-facd-4f74-8651-9bb13f106099.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\cd128514-9f86-4b62-b971-834ddc9b87fa.tmp (Trojan.Agent) -> Delete on reboot.

As you see, only after a reboot (the item is added to the "delete at start" list), the Trojan.Agent can and will be successfully deleted.

But everytime it's coming back. Does somebody know how I can get rid off this and it won't return to

my Windows\Temp file anylonger ?

Thanks in advance for helping me out

Frans

Hello and Welcome to Malwarebtes.org

Logfiles are not worked on in this forum. Please follow the instructions here for assistance.

Thank you.

Dear Marcus,

Thanks for your reply. Do you know if there has already been developed a solution for this returning Trojan.Agent in my Windows\Temp file ?

If not, what is the best thing to do for me ? (I have already runned Combofix, sofar no weared things)

Is it an option to buy the full version of MBAM and is it then possible to block this Trojan.Agent so that it won't be able to return ? If so, what are the necessary settings within MBAM to do so ?

Thanks for your help.

Frans

Frans,

Follow the suggestions by Marcus, to see this topic http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=9573

and do all the preliminary steps.

Then create your own New topic in the Malware Removal-Hijackthis sub-forum

http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7

and there attach copies of the latest MBAM log + DDS logs + Gmer log

There's a hidden underlying reason for the re-appearance of the trojans, which needs expert guide help for analysis and removal, which we cannot offer here at this sub-forum !
