Teamviewer 5

Recommended Posts

I use a program called TeamViewer, its used to remote control other computers on the net. It is found at hxxp://www.teamviewer.com. Well they have version 5 out now and when I launch it MBAM gives me this:

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp\nsc586.tmp\TvGetVersion.dll Trojan.FakeAlert

I click allow and I am able to use my software.

Is this a false positive?

OK here is how I produce the pop-up.

Go to hxxp://www.teamviewer.com

there click on Join Session

Click on Run

Click on Run Again

it will start the program, put a couple files in the C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temp folder

Then I get the ignore prompt

@ nosirrah -

Thanks - I also use this a bit and is a very helpful tool - I think I still use the earlier version though - Team Viewer 3 -

No problems with it lately though - ;)
