MBAM protection disabled by Trojan.Vundo - am I clean now??

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Dell Dimension w/XP SP3. Saturday IE opened (I use Firefox) and Nexplore and a Defender (Registry Defender?) popped up. Tried to run Mbam--file not found. Tried reinstalling from a flash drive; deleted again. Couldn't start in safe mode (BSOD). Went to forums, saw thread recommending ComboFix as next step.

Ran ComboFix successfully--I thought (I have that log if needed). It found Windows Police Pro. Reinstalled Mbam & scanned, came up clean. Bought full version, which I'd been planning to do but hadn't gotten around to.

About 8 hours later, with active Mbam protection on, two Mbam warnings one after the other on Trojan.Vundo. I click Quarantine. Within 30 seconds I get Mbam unexpectedly quit, Error 2 I think. Mbam deleted. I shut down for the night. Sunday I ran fresh copy of ComboFix, got 2 files can't be deleted (BITS files qmgr0.dat and qmgr1.dat). Re-installed Mbam, full scan. 20 items fixed. Mbam now comes up clean. I ran Defogger, DDS, and GMER. During GMER or shortly thereafter (I was away from the PC), BSOD on "fxliipoc.sys." Rebooted, ran Mbam again, GMER again (took all night).

Current Mbam log, GMER log, & HJT below, DDS attached. Am I really clean? Was this a new Vundo mutation that is now blocked? Thanks for any help!

Hilary
