Does quick scan still scan your whole HD for the most common types?

I was always under the impression quick scan just scanned the most likely areas of the pc where malware would hide.

But the description says it scans for the most common types of malware.

Just thought 4minutes to scan seems very quick to scan a whole HD

Usually every thing that needs to be looked at is seen in a quick scan -(Same applies to SUPERAntispyware) - SAS is basically a similar program like this in only a quick scan -

Use a full scan if you have nothing to do for 1 hour or so, but update and quick scan -
