I am running windows 7 on my sony vaio laptop.

However my computer also came with Norton internet security 2010 trial, i have ran several scans using that program and haven't detected any threats. However I trust malwarebytes because i have it installed on my other desktop. However this is a new laptop that has only visited trusted sites such as yahoo. I ran a scan using malware bytes and it came up with 8 infections. I was wondering if these are false positives or if they are real trojans and i should take action. Please help, I am not too great when it comes to virus knowledge.

Hi,

It looks like you have installed the ""Partner application" by Google Inc". It presumably collects and sends certain information from your pc.

This comes preinstalled on some Pcs, but this Partner Application is not recommended. So that's why it's safe to let Malwarebytes delete what it found.

Other scanners like Spybot detect this one as well as Spyware/PartnerBHO.
