Need help - No sound

Hatemalware

Recommended Posts

So I used Malware Bytes a couple months back and it saved my computer from certain death... however it also ensured that I have NO sound on anything having to do with flash.

My windows media player works fine, ventrilo works fine, quicktime even works fine but I give up trying to fix this on my own. I've googled it a hundred times, downloaded codec packs, uninstalled and re-installed flash... I've reset my firefox I've checked every slider in every audio menu ever and I can't get sound back.

The reason I'm posting here though is because this wasn't an existing problem before I used Malware Bytes to edit my registry... no one else can help, please tell me what I can do?

Please run the following.

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.

When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt

  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop

  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt

I don't have time right now but I actually want to run some other Malware scans but not in this forum. Please open a new post in the HJT forum and send me a PM when you've done that and I'll take a look and provide further information.

Post a NEW topic here. with a new MBAM quick scan log and reference this post.
