Jevadri Posted September 23 ID:1662848 Share Posted September 23 Hello I've seen this topic submitted a few times but I think I've run through all steps previously mentioned and had no success. The Error message states "Unable to contact license server. Check your network settings or contact your system administrator for help." I have restarted my machine a few times. Also have checked the HOSTS file and could find no relevant entries. I have run the MalwareBytes Support Tool the Clean option, Uninstall and Reinstall. I change ipv4 and ipv6 in the same way that i have seen in another post I don't know what else to try. i put here the grab result, i wish you can help me. mbst-grab-results.zip
Solution Porthos Posted September 23 Solution ID:1662854 Share Posted September 23 (edited) @Jevadri I see what the problem is. Someone attempted to Block the activation of Malwarebytes at some point. The following entries must be removed from your HOSTS file: 2024-09-17 10:37 - 2024-08-06 17:33 - 000000582 _____ C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts.ics 127.0.0.1 keystone.mwbsys.com 127.0.0.1 holocron.mwbsys.com 127.0.0.1 telemetry.malwarebytes.com 127.0.0.1 hubble.mb-cosmos.com 127.0.0.1 links.malwarebytes.com Instructions on resetting your HOSTS file can be found in this Microsoft support article. Please let us know if the issue is resolved or not. Edited September 23 by Porthos
