Hi JS,

Attached is the Fixlog.txt.

Amost forgot, Firefox upgraded even though I thought it shut off And I had firewalled block on both inbound and outbound.

I did find a way to stop it from upgrading by under "policies". So it should not upgrade again. My apology on that misfortune.

Thanks.

I am downloading the second file, which has taken about 2 hours to get half way through,

so it is going to take hours for them. I say this as I may not be able to get back here until sat

evening. But I will try to get back sooner if I can.

Thanks again for your time and efforts.

Hi Advanced,

I was able to download and install the above 7 Hot Fix KB files. One issue I had was that the 488mb file would not install.

So I installed the other 6 files and then tried the 488mb file and it installed. Thought I would mention that for future.

Anyway, I downloaded the malwarebytes Support.exe file and it said I needed to open a web installer, this link provided.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851

Need your expertise what to do.

This just in. More than an hour ago, I tried update to win and nothing. Just a minute ago, a box opened saying there were 25 downloads, 676mb. So I am now downloading it and installing. I will see if it solves the support .exe problem.

Thanks

Hi JS,

All is updated but I still get the message:

" >Net 4.0 or above is required but not detected on this machine.

I attempted to install the 4.0 program  but this error message came up.

Great, good work @Positron

Now, to update and improve the power of Windows 7

Though not required it is recommended to update PowerShell to version 5.1 for greatly increased support for PowerShell scripts often used today

Download and install Windows PowerShell 5.1
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/skypeforbusiness/set-up-your-computer-for-windows-powershell/download-and-install-windows-powershell-5-1

Windows Management Framework 5.1 includes updates to Windows PowerShell, Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC), Windows Remote Management (WinRM), Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
Release notes: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=839460

You can download Windows Management Framework 5.1, which includes Windows PowerShell 5.1, from the Microsoft Download Center
