Crypto clipper that just wont go away

Recommended Posts

Hello, I have encountered a crypto clipper that just does not want to go away, I've done a full scan of my C:/ drive with Malwarebytes, to no avail, DrWeb CureIT!, nothing, Sophos, nothing, FSS, nothing, Security check, nothing, FRST, nothing found, I also keep getting an IP address: 164.92.232.138 that keep trying to connect from explorer.exe which Malwarebytes is blocking (outbound). I don't know what to do and I've came here for help. Any other scan logs necessary will be provided.
Basically the issue is where I try copying a ETH address

Thank you for the logs @findnixx

Please do not post digital addresses in public.

For security reasons, the built-in Guest account is disabled by default. This prevents users from having an option to log on to the system as Guest.

It can only be enabled from the administrator account. However since it is enabled, disable it following these steps.

  1. Press Windows Key + X on the Keyboard
  2. Click on Control Panel
  3. Click on the User Accounts and Family Safety
  4. Click on User Accounts
  5. Click on the Manage another account
  6. If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), then click on Yes
  7. Click on the listed Guest account
  8. If prompted by User Account Control (UAC), then click on Yes
  9. Click on the listed Guest account
  10. Click on the Turn off the Guest account link

You can also click on Start and type in CMD.EXE and when it shows right-click and select "Run as administrator" then copy and paste or type into the window and press the Enter key

net user guest /active:no

Let me review the rest of your logs

Also, more information on the clipper, it starts when my computer does as well, but heavily delayed, around 30-40 seconds, in that time frame I can copy and paste my own address, but then it just switches to the clipper's address, also I've ran the command you wanted me to and it was successful! I'll be waiting on further help.
