1. (FIXED) Invalid command line parameter message appearing.

2. (FIXED) Problem with removal hanging up.

3. (FIXED) Minor issue with 0kb files showing up again.

4. (FIXED) Minor optimizations to scan.

5. (FIXED) Rewrote registry enumeration code.

6. (ADDED) Option to enable/disable heuristics object scanning.

This version should update flawlessly. No errors and it should start up MBAM with a pretty message saying congratulations at the end. Let me know if that is not the case.

Installed 0.83 via standalone installer, no problems, like the new update gui and the speed in which updates are checked for (seems quicker than in previous versions)

Same here, built in updater did its job without an problem to 0.83.

Update failed. I have Windows Vista Business. Kept getting parameter line 0. Told it to ignore then program became unstable and wouldn't open after update. Had to remove it. "This version addresses a few problems and features a few code rewrites to provide a much more stable program. The update should now go flawlessly. Please update through the integrated updater and post your results on the forums. The program should launch the new setup, show a progress bar with the status, then restart Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and show a nice message stating that the program was updated. Please let me know if that is how it does it." So the answer is it failed miserably for me.

Hello Marcin

All updates and Quick scan had no problems to report. The Full scan hangs, it stops at the registry keys (Abort/Exit not responding) and need to stop process via Task mgr. Removed all traces of MBAM and reinstall and still get the hang at same spot.

Updated without problem from 0.82 to 0.83 through the integrated module.

Yes, I got the message "Congratulations, Malwarebytes' Anti-Maware updated successfully!"

But I was disappointed not to get the usual dialog boxes including the one from which I was copying the changelog to post on my forum (don't worry, I'm teasing you)!

I think I know why people are getting command line parameter errors. You are probably trying to update 0.81 or lower to 0.83. Only 0.82 will update correctly to something higher. As for the hang in the scan, looking into it.

hmmm...marcin...i just updated from 0.81 to 0.83 fine with no errors...

As for the scan hang. it happens on my machine too, but if I wait say 20 seconds, it just suddenly jumps ahead to halfway through the file scans so...

hello

updated mbam 0.82 to 0.83 with in the program with no problems

i started a full scan and mbam seemed to hang at scanning registry for infected keys

time elapsed 39 seconds

but the scan started again with the huristics scan then finshed
