App icon used to have blue (dark mode) option

Recommended Posts

The app icon is bright and stands out vs all other app icons I have up there, makes me want to hide it, but it's useful to have the icon there so you can click and start a scan conveniently.  See my screenshots, and bring the blue (dark) icon option back please!?!

The icon is white when using  Browser Guard with a dark theme.

It is now, but until just a couple of months ago there was an option in settings to make it dark blue…that’s how I had it for the last couple of years.

Is this in the browser Browser Guard? Close the main Malwarebytes settings and get a new screenshot.

I've closed the general settings for these screenshots...when you select general it brings up the iOS settings window, to be able to hide icon.

Is your phone in dark mode? I see Malwarebytes is.

I meant OS sorry, not iOS...my laptop is in dark mode yes, but it has been during the last couple of years (when the malwarebytes app had the option to choose the dark blue app icon in the top right of my screen), I'm asking they bring back that feature.

This was done because the icon was next to invisible in dark mode.

But your suggestion is noted.

Yes, I liked it like that, you could still see it but it was subtle...thanks again!

What menu do you see when clicking on that icon? screenshot, please. And please close the main MB program.

This...great for starting a scan without going to open the app itself.

Thanks, I am not a Mac user so I am fishing for info.

So there is not something like this in the Mac version anymore.

Cool.  Doesn't seems so....I guess the app itself follows the OS theme, I can't remember whether the button was specifically for the icon in the menu bar, or as yours is here with display theme.

I use dark mode for everything in Windows as it is easier on my old eyes and Ispen all of my awake hours on the computer.

Luckily the icon in Windows is barely visible being blue. Would love to have the white icon.
