AsukaAru Posted August 23 ID:1656756 Share Posted August 23 So, i wanted to play a game but since its not a veeeery popular one and not available trough main plataforms like steam, epic games, xbox store, etc... I was very careful with how i proceeded about downloading it. Did some scans on its files with windows defender AND malwarebytes, both came clean, updated the game and opened it, and still no detection, but once i click "login" malwarebytes stops me from loging in and shows message of RPT detection "compromised" Now since it is a .rar, i just deleted the rar and the extracted folder, dont think any harm was done BUT, idk if its a false positive and if i can just allow it without any problems (rly wanted to play it, but if its messed up, i wont ofc) idk if i should post report file here, so for now, until further indication i wont, but would be happy to provide any needed aditional info

Porthos Posted August 23 ID:1656795 Share Posted August 23 While we wait for the staff to review, I want to pass some info on to you, Staff will check the IP and if not bad anymore they will delist it. It must be due to some server(s) the games are trying to connect to. Many games use p2p connections to play online of which many of the IP's they connect to are compromised. Where did you download the game? Were you solicited on Discord to try the game?
AsukaAru Posted August 23 Author ID:1656817 Share Posted August 23 The games was downloaded on their own website, and i was not solicited to try the game anywhere, i just saw someone playing it and rly liked so i wanted to play. As for p2p, the game is an mmo, so... i think its kinda hard for it to be p2p no ? i mean there can be tons of players at the same time, idk much about p2p but i dont think it wortks for mmos that arent lobby based and limited players

It is the nature of the beast and why there is a Notification Game Mode so gaming (as well as streaming) isn't interrupted.
Porthos Posted August 23 ID:1656821 Share Posted August 23 The server can be hosted on an IP that is blocked. Many use shared hosting. Most online games connect to many IP's all over the world. Give staff a chance to check that IP.
