suspicious startup apps, might be infected

Recommended Posts

as I started my pc up I noticed a command line flash open and close within a second. Checked startup apps and these two suspicious individuals showed up, no file location, no publisher, no nothing. I've since then disabled them and restarted my pc just in case and I've done the FRST scan. My latest download was Silent Hill 2 Director's cut from (https://archive.org/details/silent-hill-2-directors-cut_202310)with the Silent Hill 2 Enhanced Edition from (https://enhanced.townofsilenthill.com/SH2/install.htm) and Identity V (my friends have this game and also have the weird start up programs so it might be that but I'd rather be safe than sorry). I have since run these programs and used with no problems and no one has had problems with this that I know of.

I tried searching these startups in bing and google to no avail so this is my last resort.

Welcome.

Scan with Farbar Recovery Scan Tool

Please download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system.
You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit

  • Please rename FRST.EXE or FRST64.EXE to FRSTEnglish.exe
  • After renaming the file right-click over FRSTEnglish.exe and select "Run as administrator"
  • When the tool opens click Yes to the disclaimer if this is the first time using the tool
  • Make sure there is a check mark in the Addition.txt check box
  • Press the Scan button.
  • It will make a log FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from. Please attach both logs to your next reply.
