Zeneroth Posted July 28 ID:1651502 Share Posted July 28 Hi there, I have recent bought the Malwarebytes premium, i previously had the free version and was doing manual scans. As soon as I entered my premium key, I started getting a lot of these NTP Dection alerts, about one alert every 1-2 minutes. They seem to be to this node.exe application, which I googled and it seems to be legit? C:\Program Files\nodejs\node.exe this seems to be a java script application that is tied to google chrome. Hard to tell anything from it's outbound public IP addresses, goes to Amazon (hosted in the USA), but it could be AWS hosting malicious servers, hard to say. My questions is are these alerts actually legit, if so should I create exclusions for them, as they are super annoying. I tried to google these alerts and didn't find anything helpful. Also I think I found a Malwarebytes forum articile talking about, saying that this could be a known issue this in v4.6.4, I'm running 5.1.6, still a known issue? or not? Let's get the info to get the process started. Be aware it will take many steps and scans to fully remove malware. Please respond to all future instructions from your helper in a timely manner. Your patience and understanding will be greatly appreciated. First of all, the procedures we are about to perform are specific to your problem and should only be used on this specific computer. Do not make any changes to your computer that include installing/uninstalling programs, deleting files, modifying the registry, nor running scanners or tools of any kind unless specifically requested by me. However I noticed that after the FRST fix I stopped seeing those RTP alerts from Malwarebytes. I assume that this fixed my issue, however let me know if you feel I need to do something else. Please download KpRm by Kernel-panik and save to your Desktop. Click on KpRm.exe to run the tool. Vista/Windows 7/8/10/11 users right-click and select Run As Administrator. Put a check mark next to these items: - Delete tools - Delete Restore Points - Create Restore Point - Delete now Click the "Run" button. When the tool has finished, it will create and open a log report and delete itself.
