HLaptop Posted June 20 ID:1644053 Share Posted June 20 I have an android without the GooglePlay Store installed. I would like to purchase Malwarebytes but I cant find a way to purchase the app outside of GooglePlay. In the App itself, it has a place where you can enter a license key as an option to register th full version. Where can I purchase a license key outside of GooglePlay? Link to post
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 20 Root Admin ID:1644054 Share Posted June 20 You can purchase from the main link https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium Link to post

If I were to purchase Malwarebytes with the Android app thtough GooglePlay, wouldnt that be significantly cheaper? But I cant do this without GooglePlay. Link to post
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 20 Root Admin ID:1644058 Share Posted June 20 Yes directly from the Google Play Store is much cheaper. There is no other way I'm aware of to get the lower price except to use the Google Play Store Link to post

Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 20 Root Admin ID:1644061 Share Posted June 20 No I don't believe so. I don't think it works that way. Let me check with a colleague though to be sure. Link to post

I do have an account but the main reason I would like to purchase Malwarebytes with the app is that it is much cheaper than purchasing through the account or direct through the link Root Admin sent. Only way to get that cheaper price is through the GooglePlay store directly with the app.... But I do not have GooglePlay. Purchasing through the app on my phone will not work. Link to post
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 20 Root Admin ID:1644064 Share Posted June 20 Yes, @Porthos is correct that adding a device license to a subscription is cheaper than Google Play Store as well. I forgot about that and he reminded me. Link to post
Root Admin AdvancedSetup Posted June 20 Root Admin ID:1644065 Share Posted June 20 Without the Google Play Store I'm not sure how you're going to get the application though. We don't offer the .apk as stand alone. 1 Link to post

I have access to the GooglePlay Store apps by using Aurora Store which pulls directly from the GooglePlay Store, so getting and updating the app is not a problem. Link to post
Porthos Posted June 20 ID:1644068 Share Posted June 20 What kind of Android device is this? @HLaptop Link to post
HLaptop Posted June 20 Author ID:1644070 Share Posted June 20 I purchase Google Pixel phones and then install with ClayxOS or GrapheneOS neither of which have any Google services on the phone, but like I said you can use F-Droid to get Aurora Store so you have access to the Google Play store without Google... Its the FOSS way. Link to post
