Malwarebytes Guard 100% CPU in Firefox with Browser Guad exyension

This morning's update to Malwarebytes Premium for Windows (10) version 5.1.4.112 presumably updated the extension used in various browsers. Version 2.6.26 dated today 23 May 2024 renders Mozilla Firefox Developer (127.0b5 (64-bit)) virtually unusable. Firefox's own Process Manager shows the current tab and the Extensions to be drawing 100% of the CPU each. Pages are now delivered with a wait sometimes in excess of a minute.

After a process of elimination, by disabling the Browser Guard extension, everything returns to normal.

This shows exclusively in Firefox (not in Edge or Chrome) with Browser Guard extensions enabled.

Can I be notified when the extension has been corrected not to behave like this?
