In what might be a huge joke--but a serious issue for Malwarebytes--a scam email claims to be an authorized reseller of Malwarebytes emails existing Malwarebytes clients an email telling them that they need to renew their license, as their latest payment has failed to go through. The usual scam, but only the email address and country code for the Netherlands for its contact number give the scam away. My guess is that some of your existing clients might well fall for this.

Correct. My subscription is on auto-renew and not up for renewal for months. But, in fact, my bit of do-good-er-ism helped me to realize I had two bloody subscriptions to Malwarebytes, one of them unused.

The link actually goes to a legit payment page.

I assume they got your name right and the last 4 of your CC?

Did you receive it in the email registered here on the forum? Is it different from your my.malwarebytes.com account?

How did that happen?
