Hello everyone,

I've read that every error depend on the setup and can't be copied so, here is my thread :

I guess i'm infected, or something is corrupted because. I can't launch bitdefender, every apps crashes.. :/
can't boot Malwarebytes in Safe Mode. It keeps telling me "Unable to connect to service"

I have tried the solution in the last thread:

  • Windows + R
  • services.msc
  • Windows Management Instrumentation
  • Automatic

it's already set to Automatic. I have tried making it Manual and swapping it back to Automatic to see if it would do anything and nada.

I also did the previous steps as well (installing FRST & MB-Check)

i've done :

The files for that are included. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Everything is on attachments.

Thanks you so much guys !

I'll be helping you with your computer.

Please read this post completely before beginning. If there's anything that you do not understand, please don't hesitate to ask before proceeding.

Please take note of the guidelines for this fix:

  • Please note that I am a volunteer. I do have a family, a career, and other endeavors that may prevent immediate responses that meet your schedule. Do note that the differences in time zones could present a problem as well. Your patience and understanding will be greatly appreciated.
  • First of all, the procedures we are about to perform are specific to your problem and should only be used on this specific computer.
  • Do not make any changes to your computer that include installing/uninstalling programs, deleting files, modifying the registry, nor running scanners or tools of any kind unless specifically requested by me.
  • Please read ALL instructions carefully and perform the steps fully and in the order they are written.
  • If things appear to be better, let me know. Just because the symptoms no longer exist as before, does not mean that you are clean.
  • Continue to read and follow my instructions until I tell you that your machine is clean.
  • If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask before performing the task that I ask of you, and please wait for my reply before you proceed.
  • Scanning with programs and reading the logs do take a fair amount of time. Again, your patience will be necessary. smile.png

Let's begin...

This Fix will empty the following folders:

  • Windows Temp
  • Users Temp folders
  • Edge, IE, FF, Chrome, and Opera caches, HTML5 storages, Cookies and History
  • Recently opened files cache
  • Discord cache
  • Java cache
  • Steam HTML cache
  • Explorer thumbnail and icon cache
  • BITS transfer queue (qmgr*.dat files)
  • Recycle Bin

Important: items are permanently deleted. They are not moved to quarantine. If you have any questions or concerns please ask before running this fix.

The system will be rebooted after the fix has run.

  • Download the enclosed file  Fixlist.txt
  • Save it in the same location FRST64.exe is saved
  • Start FRST (FRST64) with Administrator privileges
  • This time around Press the Fix button and wait
  • When finished, a log file (Fixlog.txt) will pop up and saved in the same location the tool was ran from.

Please attach this file in your next reply.

Re-test and let me know the outcome.

  • Solution

Lets try these workarounds:

0xc190011f

Try the Windows 11 Installation Assistant in a Clean Boot.

Clean Boot is a state of Windows computer nothing other than essential Microsoft services are running on a computer. This is especially useful for troubleshooting issues caused by conflicting third-party applications. In this case, we can boot our computer into the Clean Boot state and check for updates. If you are getting 0xc190011f error due to a third-party application, you should be able to update in Clean Boot and then we can find out what’s causing the issue so that you don’t have to do Clean Boot every time just to update your system.

To do a Clean Boot on your computer, follow the prescribed steps.

  • Hit Win + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter.
  • In the General tab, untick the Load Startup Items box, and make sure that Load System Services and Use Original boot configuration are ticked.
  • Go to Services, untick Hide all Microsoft Services, and then click on Disable all.
  • Click Apply > Ok.
  • Once your computer starts in Clean Boot, try the Windows 11 Installation Assistant, If you are able to upgrade your system, just enable services manually to find out what’s causing the error. Once you are sure of the culprit, just keep its service disabled, and if it is not essential, uninstall the app.

Temporarily disable your Security software, VPN or Proxy providers

Your antivirus can block genuine Windows services such as Windows as well. Remove or disable BitDefender. Even though this is not normal behavior, but the frequency of this misunderstanding cannot be neglected. So, if you cannot upgrade your system, just disable your third-party antivirus or Windows Firewall and Windows Defender temporarily and then run the try the Windows 11 Installation Assistant.

This problem can also occur as a result of a VPN client or proxy server that is not accepted by the Windows Update service if applies. If you are encountering the said error while updating Windows and you are using a VPN service or proxy 3rd party client to connect , then it might be possible that the Windows Update component is conflicting with the application and is failing to find its service. If you want to be sure, just disable the feature and then try updating. If it worked, you know what the cause was. Now, you don’t have to necessarily uninstall the app, just don’t enable it when updating the system.

Test your memory modules.

Keep me posted.

Hey !

Sorry for the delay.
I've managed to create en USB device with windows on an another computer and format/delete my hard drive.
And i've successfully reinstalled Windows.
I've run malwares bytes and bitdefender scans. Nothing.
So i guess i'm safe now (if it was a virus, and not a problem with windows itself)

Thanks you so much for your help !
