Rockarmy321 Posted March 30 ID:1626813 Share Posted March 30 I got a virus while trying to install an application, and then I immediately realised it was a virus and used Malwarebytes to scan. I did, then I checked and made sure I deleted everything in quarantine. After doing this, there was this one random windows script host "script" that would attempt to open a non-existent file. I immediately made a fake copy of the file, telling the script to exit. After doing this, some days later i noticed I kept reaching high ram usages. I finally realised that some system application called nslookup was taking up 2+ gigs of my memory, among other apps, probably. Besides that, when I use Task Manager, I can't really see much else contributing to the high usage. Could someone please help me. N.B Usually at Idle, my mem usage sits at 11-19% usage. Now idle is 50-80% I also scanned with FRST and have attached the resultsAddition.txtFRST.txt

Though I think Malwarebytes had to update before it could detect the virus because I scanned like twice, which detected nothing, then scanned to get the log file to make this post and Malwarebytes updated. After which, I got 2 detections (one exe and one registry file). Thanks so much for the help
