IQ123 Posted March 22 ID:1625104 Share Posted March 22 Hello, malwarebytes browser guard for firefox has just started throwing me warnings when I go to linkedin.com, specifically it says "client.protechts.net" as a malware... somehow it doesn't seem to me that there is potential malware on linkedin... can someone check what it is? thx Link to post
IQ123 Posted March 22 Author ID:1625107 Share Posted March 22 One more printscreen and for clarification, when I click on the stats, it says in detial that it is "riskware" Link to post

IQ123 Posted March 22 Author ID:1625116 Share Posted March 22 Hello, Yes, it was only blocking with Browser Guard, specifically the firefox version (2.6.17). But even with Browser Guard I would expect it to block correctly.. Link to post
SWT Posted March 22 ID:1625177 Share Posted March 22 I got this same warning from BroswerGaurd today. Mentions client.protechts.net I ran a scan, but nothing was found with Malwarebytes. I never got this message before today. Is this something I can get rid of? Only happens with LinkedIn. Link to post
Staff Solution BjelakovicL Posted March 22 Staff Solution ID:1625180 Share Posted March 22 Hi, Thanks for reporting. This will be fixed in about 15-30 minutes. Link to post
DiagMan Posted March 24 ID:1625592 Share Posted March 24 Hi, The problem reported by @IQ123 is still present for me. Nice week to everybody 😊 Link to post
Porthos Posted March 24 ID:1625596 Share Posted March 24 @DiagMan If you can not see the Browser Guard icon in the browser toolbar, click the puzzle icon and unhide or pin the icon. If you're having issues with Malwarebytes Browser Guard you may want to try to update the program manually. Click on the extension icon Click the Kebab Menu -> then Support Click the Check for database updates button If still having an issue then click Clear Browser Guard Storage, Restart the Browser, and check for Database Updates again Link to post
