Microsoft Storage Spaces SMP Frequently Stops Working

 The failure of Microsoft Storage Spaces SMP is listed as a critical event in the Reliability Monitor of Win11. Four events are logged in  the last two and a half weeks, sometimes twice on the same day. This can happen when the Dell 3910 is idle.

It appears to be casually related to a failed Windows Update, sometimes on the same day or the following day. I understand part of the process of diagnosis is repeatability, however I'm uncertain whether this is or could become an issue. 

If I've posted in the wrong area, my apologies. The subject is not related (in my mind) to Malwarebytes.

I successfully disabled Microsoft Storage Spaces. No red circles today! 🎉

Back with a follow-up, 10 days with no critical events. One time for failed Windows update. Pshhhht. No big deal. 🤞

I have this same problem. It started when I installed Dell SupportAssist. It happens even when the compute is idle. I am 74 yrs and a basic user. I have Windows 10.
