Safe browsing scanner not enabled

When I click the slider for safe browsing scanner it brings up a message that permissions to Accessibility Services is needed.  When I click allowed, it shows that it is "on", but MWB app still shows it being off.

No power saving features are enabled that I know.

I have a Pixel 7a, Android version 14

I'm having a problem turning on safe browsing scanner. The control is not greyed out. I have Malwarebytes for Android installed. I've eliminated any battery saving features. I have a Galaxy A21. Android version 12.  I've spent about an hour attempting to troubleshoot this frustrating issue.

Finally, in frustration, I power cycled my phone. That step was not included in the instructions.  Power cycling solved the problem!  Please update the documentation. Thank you.
