[ RESOLVED ] Is MWB's latest update crashing NordVPN?

NordVPN was working fine yesterday. The only update I know of was MWB. Now the nordvpn-service service will not start.

MWB version: 4.6.9.314

Package version: 1.0.81345

Component package version: 1.0.2276

Have installed new version of NordVPN and have tried to start the service mutiple times.

To begin, please do the following so that we may take a closer look at your installation for troubleshooting:

NOTE: The tools and the information obtained are safe and not harmful to your privacy or your computer, please allow the programs to run if blocked by your system.

  • Download the Malwarebytes Support Tool
  • In your Downloads folder, open the mb-support-x.x.x.xxx.exe file
  • In the User Account Control pop-up window, click Yes to continue the installation
  • Run the MBST Support Tool
  • In the left navigation pane of the Malwarebytes Support Tool, click Advanced
  • In the Advanced Options, click Gather Logs. A status diagram displays the tool is Getting logs from your machine
  • A zip file named mbst-grab-results.zip will be saved to the Public desktop, please upload that file on your next reply

Thanks for the reply.

I ended up uninstalling Novd, rebooting, and installing a new version and that worked. Sorry for blaming MWB! :rolleyes: Dunno what happend with Nord to just stop like that as there were no updates to it, not even Windows Update.

Anyway, thanks for the quick offer of help though.

I have Torguard VPN. Was Working fine a day or so ago. Now it is being blocked. Have it on the MWB Allow list.

I am not getting a specific notification that anything is being blocked, however I am being blocked (cannot connect with VPN).

How do I know its MWB doing the blocking ? Because when I quit MWB and the VPN connects. I tried this multiple times. I have no doubt that it is MWB doing the blocking.

MWB is like over protective parent. It does a great job protecting you but sometimes it ruins your fun.

Hopefully this will be fixed soon.
