Code 2 error?

Recommended Posts

I've recently gotten a FakeAlert virus on my computer. :) I've had the same virus before and used MBAM to remove it however this time it's not working for me. When I try to open the MBAM icon it says I'm missing a shortcut. I've deleted and reinstalled several times and still get the same thing. Also, when I'm installing it and going through the setup, it either gives me a code 2 error or it'll show the scan screen but then it disappears within 2 seconds. Can anyone help me figure out how to get this loaded and working so I can get this virus off my computer? It's a work computer and I really don't want to have to explain to the boss that I got a virus. Oh and if you can use regular terms rather then technical, I'd appreciate it. As my name says, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to computers.
