Desktop Icon Keeps Appearing

How do I stop the Malawarebytes shortcut from appearing on my desktop?  It is getting infuriating.  I have tried deleting it multiple times.  It just keeps coming back.

Repair and reinstall takes the information used the last time you installed.

Please right-click over the tray icon and exit out of Malwarebytes temporarily.

Delete the desktop icon.

Then restart the computer and let me know if the icon for the shortcut is still there
